First dates
What makes a first date less overwhelming for you?
Sensory environment, structure, duration, knowing the plan in advance. This is the next question we intend to put to members, on what actually reduces first-date anxiety.
Community polls
We are preparing the first Spectrum Singles member poll. Nothing will be published on this page until members have answered, so what follows is what we intend to ask.
Disclosure
One question and four options, on when autistic adults tell a date they are autistic. Members have not voted yet, so there is nothing to publish. The question, and what will be published alongside any figure that comes out of it, are set out in full on the poll page.

Communication
Does response time carry the same social weight for autistic daters as it does in mainstream dating culture? That is one of the questions on the list to ask.
Polls will run for Spectrum Singles members, and any results will be published here question by question. Answers are anonymous and aggregated, so no individual response is identifiable.
Three topics are on the list: when to disclose, what makes a first date less overwhelming, and how long people take to reply. The point is to give autistic adults a sense of what others in the same position do, and not to tell anyone what they should do.
Correction
This page previously showed the disclosure poll as complete, with a date and a preview of percentage results. Those were sample content created when the site was built, not member answers. They have been removed, and the poll is now in preparation.
